Winner: 2012 CMUS Talk of the Town Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction.

April 27, 2012

It gives me great pleasure to announce Caron Electric was awarded the 2012 Excellence in Customer Service.  This award is given out based upon research gathered by Celebration Media U.S. over the last twelve months. An accumulation of customer ratings, positive reviews, blogs and social networks are used to determine the highest rated and top-reviewed businesses.

Here at Caron Electric we pride ourselves in excelling to meet all of our customers needs and being pro-active in bringing the latest and greatest technology to our trade. With the use of social media like Twitter and Facebook we keep clients informed and try to give a face to our customer service department.  From answering our phones with a live operator 24/7 to responding to all emails within 24 hours or less you can always expect the best when working with Caron.  No matter how small the question or problem we understand how important our customers are to growing the business and strive to make every one of them feel appreciated.

When I first started with Caron Electric, about 10 years ago, I never thought of how many things could change in just one decade. What used to be as simple as a courtesy follow-up call or customer satisfaction survey has turned into a world where reviews and feedback is left before you have a chance to pull out of the driveway. That to me is exciting, the world does not stop, the wheels keep on turning and you must always make sure you got your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel if you want to drive your business successfully.  That is why receiving recognition like this Excellence in Customer Service Award by the Talk of the Town just reiterates responsive, responsible, and reactive customer service is good business practice.

I would like to close this announcement with a heartfelt Thank You to all of our customers, vendors, and business contacts that have been so vital to the success and future of Caron Electric. We wish each and everyone of you the best in 2012 and years to come.

We are AMPED up about sharing this awesome news. You can watch the full episode directly at PBS: http://video.pbs.org/video/2186573603

Changing the Game!

December 7, 2010

Caron Electric is pleased to take on social media in a consumer friendly way. Everybody knows what it is like to get a simple question answered by a knowledgeable person. Doing an internet search or asking a friend or family member with some experience can end in some not so good recommendations. Calling around to the “expert” can result in a long wait to hear back if you even hear back at all. Well with the availability of all the social networking sites Caron has decided to change the same old game and bring our knowledge to the consumer free of charge with our “Ask a Question – Get an Answer” program.

Simply fan our company page at http://www.facebook.com/caronelectricinc and you have direct access to ask a question right on our Facebook page. You can also tweet your question to http://www.twitter.com/caronelectric

All questions will be answered in the order they are received or timed based upon research that may be required. This service will not be available after hours or during weekends and holidays. Pricing on jobs is not part of the “Ask a Question – Get an Answer” program. We hope to spread our wealth of knowledge to the sea of consumers.   Enjoy and be safe.

Exciting news for the Fall Season

September 23, 2009

Hello and welcome back.

Things have been picking up at Caron Electric as you can see I have not had much time to update our blog. I have exciting news I would like to share with my consumers and readers. Everyone has gone through some hardships with the economy taking a turn for the worse. Of course we had to make some tough decisions to assure Caron Electric would be around for years to come. Because of those decisions we have been able to slowly reposition ourselves for future expansion. That time has come and we recently added another electrician to our work force. Our newest electrician Brian is fully licensed and has many years of experience working in both the residential and commercial electrical field. So while other companies are still trying to get a handle on their future Caron Electric’s is burning brighter then ever.

Another even more exciting change here at Caron Electric for our customers is the reduction of our pricing by 10%. As the competition is greater than ever we knew the best way to stay competitive would be an overhaul of our pricing. I am happy to announce we are in our final stage of preparation to bring our new pricing manual to the field.

This upcoming Fall Season will have many opportunities to use our services and save money, take advantage today! If you have not already signed up for our email promotions and discount program take a moment out to email me at service@caronelectric.com

My experience with a Fujitsu Ductless Split

September 1, 2009

I will let my readers know up front that I have never had central air for heating or cooling in any of my residences. The most I have ever done to try and battle the summer heat is put a window air conditioner in an apartment I was living in Salem. Now being an owner of a home I wanted to have the luxury of a central air system but was very concerned by the cost. A central air system requires duct work to be brought throughout the home to each area/zone. My house being 100 years old this was not feasible by any means. Luckily being in the trade brings its benefits and I knew about the Fujitsu Halcyon Ductless Split systems. The Fujitsu Halcyon system consists of a indoor blower unit and outdoor condenser unit. Both units are much quieter then your average air conditioner and about as loud as a overhead fan. I won’t bother explaining all the details about the ease of installation of these products but I will make it quite clear that NO duct work was required. The work can normally be done in one day which was the case in my instance.

I purchased my materials directly through my company and got the 12,000 BTU model. This unit cools my entire first floor, a total of 900 square feet. The cost of running the unit for an entire season is around $50. Talk about energy efficiency a window unit could cost upwards of $20-30 per month to run for 10-12 hours out of the day. The unit I had installed also does heating, this was an added option as there are units that only do cooling. I was one of the poor souls that locked in on a high price on home heating oil last year and this season I was looking for any way to supplement my current heating system.  The difference in the cost of the system providing heat was several hundred dollars. The total cost to run this unit for an entire heating season is about $250. My expected savings for this upcoming heating season will be around $500 so it will pay for itself in just one year.  I am also receiving a rebate from my power company up to $500 for installing a new energy efficient unit. All of this on top of the “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009” for a Federal Tax credit of 30% up to $1500 towards the cost of this project.

So all of the above is well and good you say but how does well does the unit function you ask… If you remember back just a couple weeks to the 10 day  heat wave we had high humidy in the 90’s day after day. My whole first floor was kept to a dry 74 degrees throughout the entire time. All of this is done through a simple remote control that offers multiple functions like – fan only mode, dry mode which helps to control humidity levels and varying levels of use from High, Medium, Low and Quite. This allows for you to find the exact climate you will feel most comfortable with during use of the system.

I can tell you I am completely satisfied. The unit is much friendlier to the eyes then a window air conditioner. The cost out of pocket was just a fraction of the cost of a complete central air system and that does not include the rebates that are forthcoming. I would highly recommend the Fujitsu Halcyon ductless split system to any residence or commercial property owner. Thanks for taking out the time to read up about my experience and hope to see you back soon.

Ductless Air Conditioning Systems – It’s worth a second look!

July 21, 2009

Have you always wanted a Central Air conditioning system in your home or business but thought it impossible and cost prohibitive; well it is time to take a look at a Ductless Split air conditioning system. With the advancement in technology and product enhancement the ductless split air conditioning from Fujitsu/Halcyon is a perfect fit for many installations. At a fraction of the cost of a standard central air you will get all the benefits of having a central controlled cooling system. Select systems also have a heat option for supplemental heating. Halcyon products have been designed to provide zoned comfort for residential and commercial applications. Engineered to install quickly and easily without ductwork, Halcyon systems provide cooling and heating solutions where others cannot.

A few key advantages of a Ductless Split system over a central air system or window air conditioner unit are…

1)      Quite Operation – since the system is comprised of an indoor and outdoor unit the louder components like motors and compressors can be installed outside

2)      Easy installation – the unit is feed by a copper tube running through a small 3” to 4” inch opening in the wall or ceiling to connect the indoor and outdoor units

3)      Energy Efficient – Since there are no ducts involved Halcyon systems lose less then 5% cooling vs. up to 40% on traditional forced-air systems. Higher efficiency including Energy Star Qualified units means you save money on your utility bill.

4)      Individual zoning – Cool or heat only the areas you want, or your entire home or business with multiple zone units.

5)      Environmentally Friendly – Halcyon systems use R410A refrigerant which is designed to prevent the depletion of the ozone layer.

6)      Safe and secure – Window air conditioners leave the home venerable for intruders to enter. Halcyon units are mounted high on the wall, away from the window, not compromising your security. Leaving you with a functional window and pleasant view.

If the above advantages are not enough how about the varying equipment models and ease of installation that makes these systems a must have. Halcyon systems eliminate the need for any evaporator unit or costly and bulky ductwork installations. The thin copper tubing feeds the refrigerant directly into the discreet wall mounted units inside. Piping can often be done by routing through walls and joists to be aesthetically pleasing. The indoor units quietly distribute cooling/heating to the interior space.  With the ease of mixing and matching capacities and configurations the Halcyon units are great for even the most difficult areas to heat or cool. With the option to provide up to four separate zones with a timer and optional wired remote you are always in control of the varying comfort needs in different spaces of your home or business.

All of these things result in a highly efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost effective way of bringing cooling and heating to your location. Now with even more cost savings available to you; Special incentives currently being offered are as follows…

Fujitsu Summer Relief Rebate – Up to $300 on select systems

Federal Tax Credit – 30% up to $1500 for the installation of select systems in tax years 2009/2010
